HELLO THERE!
In Hinduism Sadhu is a religious ascetic or holy person.
although the vast majority of sadhus are Yogis.
The sadhu is solely dedicated to achieving moksa (liberation), the fourth and final asrama (stage of life), through meditation and contemplation of Brahman, that connotes the highest universal principle, the ultimate reality of the universe. It is genderless, infinite, eternal truth and bliss. Brahman is the single binding unity behind diversity in all that exists in the universe.
Sadhus left behind all material attachments and live in caves, forests and hindu temples all over Nepal.
The Pashupatinath temple is the oldest hindu temple in Kathmandu, on the banks of the Basmati River in Nepal.
