Eiffel Tower is a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognisable structures in the world.

Eiffel Tower is located on the Champs de Mars in Paris. It was named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. It was constructed in 1889 as the entrance of the 1889 World's Fair.

The tower is 324m, about the same height as an 81 storey building and it is the tallest structure in Paris.

The tower is the most visited paid monument in the world. An average of 2,500 people ascend the tower every day.
