Playa is is used to describe dry lake beds in the american west such as Black Rock Desert.

Open playa is a portion of the playa that is within a pentagonal event space, and it is used exclusively for art instalations rather than camping.

It is a surreal place where everything is possible, where some of the things will only be available to see for a week or less, some of the artwork is burnt during the event in the evening. At the centre of the playa is located "The Man".

Expect the unexpected, the creative and the surreal, also be aware that everything  is there for a reason.
